This week Lincoln Heights ran its first Hour of Code! We had representatives from all divisions, including all of the grade 5/6’s, and three from Kindergarten. The students were able to use tutorials and block style to create computer programs and be introduced to computer programming if they hadn’t done it before, or to try a new language if they have programmed. Grade 81 and Mrs. McCoy’s class tried the offline version of computer programming during buddies this week called Robot Challenge as part of the Hour of Code too. They were helpful to each other, excited to see what each other was doing and everyone had a good time! If you’d like to try at home, you can find the tutorials at http://code.org/learn

It was a great success! Thanks for all of your support in helping it to happen.

Thank you to Mrs. Frier for providing this opportunity for our students.
