Fundraising at Lincoln Heights Public School

Where do fundraising proceeds go?

Fundraising is necessary for the School Council to contribute money to a number of different causes that benefit the children at the school. Some examples of where fundraising has helped:

    • In 2014/15, we puchased 30 Chrome books and accessories for the school
    • We donated to the school library to purchase new books
    • We supported our students by putting funds towards graduation
    • We sponsored a students girls night out
    • We supported our families by making monies available to help out over the holiday season
  • Every year, we donate $10,000 to the “Connections for Learning” fund which enriches the learning opportunities of students. Staff can access funds through requests to the Connections for Learning Committee. This Committee monitors the disbursement of these funds equally amonth the three divisions of the school.

What type of fundraiser will the School Council run this year?

The School council runs a variety of fundraisers every year. This year we will focus on our annual Dance-A-Thon, the weekly sale of pizza, a bookfair and one yet to be determined fundraiser in the spring.

What is our fundraising goal in 2016?

School Council decided to allocate all 2016 fundraising proceeds towards the build of an age appropriate playground that will be situated near the sport fields.

We will keep you posted on the progress we will make towards this goal.

Thank you very much on behalf of school council and the students for all your support!
