-Next year – Class Placements:
Students are placed into classes each May/June for the following year by their current educators. We work as teams of educators to develop the best possible learning environment. As a result, our school does NOT accept placement requests (i.e., with or away from a friend, with a specific teacher) from parents or guardians as it tends to disrupt the class building process.
We know that some families are anxious about class placements. Class assignments will be shared for all WRDSB elementary students in early September before school starts. Please check our school website closer to the start of the school year to find out how we will be sharing this information. You can find more information about Elementary Class Assignments here.
Kindergarten teachers will reach out to families of children in their class by email or phone. There will also be staff with class lists to help families on the first day of school find their teachers, and line-up locations.
Lincoln is fortunate to have a team of outstanding educators that work diligently to meet the achievement and well-being needs of each of our students. Please trust that our team of professional educators will make the appropriate classroom placements for the next school year in order to create the best possible learning environment for all students.
As always, if you would like to discuss your child’s learning needs, please connect with your child’s classroom teacher(s). As careful thought has been put into classroom placement that will meet the needs of all students, we ask that you focus conversations with our educators on how your child can have an outstanding year in the class in which they have been placed.
Please note that during the first few weeks of any school year, enrollment can fluctuate. This, at times, requires reorganization of classrooms in order to meet Ministry of Education class size regulations. Should this occur, communication and information will be sent to those students and families impacted.
We know that all of our teachers and staff at Lincoln are ready, willing and able to meet the needs of all of our learners.
