The Lincoln Heights PS staff is excited to welcome all our students back to school on Tuesday, September 8. 

Very Important Information to Review: 

Below, you will find important information to know for the beginning of the school year. 

Action Required page provides information to parents, families and caregivers about forms and paperwork that need to be completed and returned to your school at the beginning of the school year. 

Which class is my child in? 

To ensure the protection of student privacy, parents, families and caregivers can use School-Day to view your child’s classroom information starting Monday, September 7, 2026. Please log in at your convenience and follow the steps to access this information.

If you do not use School-Day, class lists will be available at the school on the first day of classes, Tuesday, September 8. Teachers will have the class lists available on the first day of school and can help determine the location of your child’s classroom.  Visit the Elementary Class Assignments page for more information on how to determine your student’s homeroom. 

Where does my child line up on the first day? 

Our staff will greet students outside with a homeroom sign. Click here to view our entry MAP.  Kindergarten students will be directed on the first day of school to our gymnasium.  

Class placements

At Lincoln Heights, we do not accept parent requests for class changes as we focus all our efforts on how we can support your child in the class in which they are placed.  Our staff takes great effort to thoughtfully and carefully approach the creation of class lists.  We consider each students’ academic needs and social dynamics. These are the guiding principles in forming our combined grade classes as well.  Now that class lists are finalized, changes will not be made unless directed by the Board due to unexpected enrollment shifts.  Moving even one student can create a domino effect, impacting friendships, classroom balance, and other placements.  We recognize that change can be difficult but children are incredibly resilient and adapt quickly.  Your support and encouragement help set a positive tone for your child’s transition and success.  Please know that  our staff are here to help every step of the way.  Thank you for your understanding and continued support. 

Student Transportation

Bus schedules are now available. For instructions on viewing details about your child’s bus information:

Allergies: 

We are developing an updated rule for managing known allergens at Lincoln Heights to align with WRDSB policy.  We will communicate before the end of September.  In the meantime, no nuts allowed and teachers will  let classroom families which known allergens to avoid packing in your child’s lunch to protect their classmates.   

Pizza:

We will be selling pizza starting Friday Sept 11 (any profit will be used to support students at our school) for $2/slice.  Cash only, we need to have order on Friday, but before 9am.
