Dear Parents/Guardians,I would like to invite you to join us in making a difference in the lives of the students at Lincoln Heights Public School by supporting us in this year’s Adopt a School fundraiser, hosted by the Indigo Love of Reading Foundation.

Every year, schools across Canada have the opportunity to apply for the Indigo Love of Reading Foundation’s Adopt a School Fundraiser, in which each Indigo, Chapters, and Coles store fundraises on behalf of a single elementary school. We are thrilled to announce that our school was selected to participate in this year’s fundraiser and will be supported by both the Waterloo Indigo store and the Kitchener Indigo store!

From September 4 2026 – October 4th 2026, these stores will be fundraising on our behalf. During this time, our school community will also be raising funds to support literacy at Lincoln Heights through our online fundraising page: https://indigoloveofreadingfoundation.givecloud.co/fundraisers/lincoln-heights-public-school-1

Our school will receive every dollar raised during these four weeks and will receive a 30% discount off books when shopping at Indigo, Chapters and Coles using fundraiser donations. Through the Adopt a School fundraiser, we are hoping to raise enough money to put one new book into the hands of each and every one of our students!  So please feel free to share our school’s online fundraising page within your community from September 4 – October 4.

To build awareness and help boost fundraising efforts, both the Waterloo Indigo store and the Kitchener Indigo store will each be having a FREE ADOPT A SCHOOL OPEN HOUSE that everyone is invited to attend! There will be local kids authors, toy demonstrations, face painting, storytime and more!

The Kitchener Indigo store will have their open house on Saturday September 26th from 12-5. 

The Waterloo Indigo store will have their open house on Sunday September 27th from 12-5.
