Thanks to our community and School council and their dedication to the fundraising initiatives over the past few years!!  There are guidelines that we do need to remind everyone of at the beginning of the year in regards to
these structures.

  • The new playground on the University side of the building is restricted to students aged 5 and older
  • The larger playground on the primary side is also restricted to students aged 5 and older and therefore to avoid mixed messages to our kindergarten students – they will not be playing on this structure due to the fact that our Kindergarten students range in age from 3-5 years.
  • The new red climber and the “animal climbers” are suitable for anyone over the age of 18 months of age

In order to assist us with the supervision of students in the primary area, and to avoid confusion for our youngest students, and above all – for the safety of your children- we would ask that you please respect our request not to have any kindergarten students (or younger siblings) on the play structures that are unsuitable for their age at any time, but particularly for the 15 minutes before and after school.

If you choose to have your children use the play structure outside of school hours, you do so at your own risk.

Our extended day child care programs take precedence over community use before and after school.  We do allow children (who are not in extended day) to be there, but they must play by the rules set by staff and families may be asked to leave for safety reasons.  Thank you!
